BeachDriving Directions:
From the South (option one, quiet more direct route):

From the Maine Turnpike (I-95), take Exit 36 (Old Orchard Beach/Saco Exit). This will place you on I-195 headed for "the beach". Go 3 miles and just after the road narrows from 2 lanes to one lane you will come to a small rotary with a Seven Eleven Store on the far side of it. Bear right onto Temple Avenue out of the Rotary (stay to the right of the Seven Eleven). Proceed on Temple Ave about 1.5 miles and take a left at your first stop sign onto West Grand Avenue (Route 9). Continue to the 2nd Stop sign. The Gull Registration Office (the Gull Motel) is on the right (beach side) at 89 West Grand Avenue.

From the South (option two, thru downtown Old Orchard Beach):
BeachFrom the Maine Turnpike (I-95), take Exit 36 (Old Orchard Beach/Saco Exit). This will place you on I-195 headed for "the beach". Go 3 miles and just after the road narrows from 2 lanes to one lane you will come to a small rotary with a Seven Eleven Store on the far side of it. Bear LEFT out of the Rotary (stay to the left of the Seven Eleven). Go a couple more miles and just after you pass a Rite Aid on your right you will come to a Stop Sign at a 3-way intersection in “downtown” Old Orchard Beach. Take a right here and you are heading down the hill toward the beach and the Old Orchard Beach Pier. Cross the railroad tracks and take a right onto West Grand Avenue. We are 1/2 mile on your left at 89 West Grand Avenue.

From the North:
BeachFrom the Maine Turnpike (I-95) coming from the north, take Exit 42 (Scarborough Exit). Get off the Turnpike and go straight across the first Intersection (with a stop light). Go one mile and take right at the next light on to Route 1 South. Proceed across the Marsh, passing Aquaboggan on your right. A mile past Aquaboggan take a left on Cascade Road (Rt 9B). Follow Cascade Roard for 3 miles until you come to a 3-way intersection in “downtown” Old Orchard Beach. Take a left here and you are heading down the hill toward the beach and the Old Orchard Beach Pier. Cross the railroad tracks and take a right onto West Grand Avenue. We are 1/2 mile on your left at 89 West Grand Avenue.

By Train
The Downeaster, Amtrak high speed train service, stops in Old Orchard Beach six times a day during the summer season (May 1 – Oct 31) from New York, Boston and Portland, Maine. You can walk the short 1/4 mile from the Old Orchard Beach Train Station to The Gull.

By Plane
The Portland Jetport is 13 miles north of the Gull Motel. Boston’s Logan and Manchester (NH) International Airports are both less than 2 hours away.

By Bus
Local bus service is directed to the center of town from where you can easily walk the short 1/4 mile to the Gull
